A German airport was brought to a standstill for nearly 30 minutes when
a small dog ran onto the runway.
The bobtail terrier, called Lumpi, escaped from a transport box at Dusseldorf
airport. Planes were forced to circle the airport in a holding pattern
while airport workers tried to catch him.
Lumpi escaped from his container upon landing at the German airport
and could only be recaptured when the owners were driven out to the runway
to collect the pet.
An airport spokesperson said the dog was unhurt - and happy to be reunited
with its owners - Ananova.com
